Version 1.11 now includes Twitter challenge support! Challenge your followers to beat your score with the same letters.

WordPops is an addictive cross between Tetris® and Scrabble®. Spell words with your finger to stop the bubbles from filling the screen. Earn more points by spelling difficult words, while adding bonuses to really put your score over the top. The game gets faster as you clear more rows of bubbles. Use freeze, explosion and mutate bubbles to your advantage and try to beat your top scores. Features include:

★ Scored game mode keeps track of your top scores achieved before you run out of space for bubbles
★ Relaxing game mode allows you to proceed at a steady pace and go for longer words
★ Lots of bonus bubble types
★ 2x, 3x and rare 5x word score bubbles
★ Freeze bubbles stop new bubbles from coming to give you a break
★ Mutate bubbles change the letters of adjacent bubbles
★ Explosive bubbles destroy adjacent bubbles to clear large parts of the board
★ Sounds!
★ NEW! Challenge your followers on Twitter!
★ NEW! Double tap to break ice (when you dont have much to do and want to keep things moving)

See how high a score you can earn, or just go for the best words you can!

★ Twitter help: In this version you can send a challenge out to all of your followers on Twitter. The tweet will contain a special URL that allows someone to play with the same letters you had. Heres some help on opening that URL in the more popular iPhone Twitter clients:
★ Twitterific - Just tap on the challenge link.
★ Tweetie 1 - Tap on the challenge link, then press the share button on the bottom right and Open in Safari.
★ TweetDeck - Tap and hold the challenge URL and copy to clipboard. Go to browser and tap in the URL field and paste the URL.

Pros and cons of WordPops app for iPhone and iPad

WordPops app good for

This is a great game, I tried the free version and enjoyed it enough to want to buy it. Its really fun and addicting. Version 1.01, havent had any technical problems with the game. Its just a bit slow to start, and sometimes the effects cause a slight delay, but other than that its smooth sailing. The simple concept is well executed and not overly complicated by too many different types of bubbles, I enjoy the simple set of bubbles there are now, and I enjoy both of the play modes. The graphics are well done. One addition I would really like to see is that in free play mode, it will also keep a tally of your score. The reason is that free play mode doesnt speed up, and I want to achieve a score in this mode. One improvement needed is sometimes the randomization of the letters appearing doesnt seem good. Ill get a whole bunch of one letter and a whole bunch of another letter and not enough randomization. Also, I will get too many vowels, or not enough. This occurs enough that I really do notice it and that Im commenting about it. Maybe it is true randomization, in which case, it just needs some checks or cycles to actually control it to a degree. Or, if you are controlling the randomization in any way, its not working as well as it should.
Excellent game. It would be better if at the end of the game, the players score was posted/reported. Right now, if you look away for a moment and dont make a conscious effort to note your score, it disappears and you cant see how you did. Also, get rid of the "send an email" prompt at the end of EVERY game... Make these small changes and Id give it 5 stars.
I have a lot of word games and surprisingly this is the one I go to most (other than scrabble). Its fun , easy to use and kind of hard when it speeds up-which keeps it challenging. Id def reccommend it.
I reset my iPhone and now I works perfectly! Now I cant stop playing! Hope this helps everyone problem.
This game has been time tested (by yours truly) because Ive played it plenty of times and at long intervals and its been very stable. A very challenging game and I like the untimed mode so can take my time playing. They should have this option in every word game because I dont purchase (but just a few) of any without the untimed mode. This game has a unique theme that makes it fun to play. I like to be able to slid my finger to create a word than having to tap each letter so I can find words easily and more quickly. This is one of my favorites and keep it in my *top drawer* on my Touch (so to speak). Highly recommend it to all word fanatics! Nice Work Larva Labs.......(euhhh, what a name)
This game is fantastic except for a few issues I will list. Downloaded after playing the lite version. In the middle of the game, if you have to exit or recieve a call you lose your game. Toward the bottom of the screen the letters take forever to explode, making it extremely hard to clear the screen successfully. These are my only gripes, other than the issues listed this is my favorite app!!!! Please please please update!!

Some bad moments

Please fix! Not more than 2 minutes into every game the game shuts down and returns to home screen. I love the game itself but I simply cant use it.
This game would be a complete blast and totally addictive if it didnt crash every single time I play it. Things will be moving along just fine, racking up a great score, then BAM screen goes black, the app stops running and Im pushed back to the iphone home screen.
Would be great if I could play it for more then 30 sec before it crashes and u have to start over.
I was really addicted to this app. However, it keeps freezing my iPhone. I have the 2.2 and loaed the latest version of Word Pops. I went to what was supposed to be Word Pops support, but cant contact Larva Labs through the site. I moving on to Wurdle.
I love this game, however it crashes every single time I play for a few moments. Very very frustrating!
A waste of money because it keeps CRASHING!!! I would gladly give it 5 stars if they fixed it.
